Introduction Steel castings fail quality checks for three reasons: gas, inclusions and sulfur. All three are decided in the ladle, before the mould is ever filled. Our External Refining Agent for Cast Steel is a composite flux added outside the furnace, at the ladle, to remove these impurities in the final minutes before pouring.   What it does in the ladle The agent increases the fluidity of the molten steel so that microscopic oxides and inclusions float to the surface quickly. At the same time it removes hydrogen and oxygen, reducing porosity and white spots, and it removes sulfur to purify the melt. The result is a cleaner steel that fills the mould better and solidifies with fewer defects.   Key specifications - Dosage: add to ladle bottom, 1.5-2.0 kg per ton of molten iron - Sulfur in product: ≤0.01% (segregated matter) / ≤0.1% (pure matter)  - Particle size: 1-3 mm and 3-8 mm - Packing: 30 kg sealed drum, gross weight about 31.5 kg - Application scope: carbon steel, low carbon…
