XS123PD Padfoot Single-Drum Roadbed Compactor
Compacting roadbeds in mountainous areas or fills containing large crushed stones poses a challenge for standard smooth-drum rollers, as they struggle to interlock with the aggregate; failure to achieve required compaction levels often leads to subsequent settlement. The XS123PD addresses this issue with a detachable padfoot drum that offers superior traction and compaction performance, making it ideal for rural mountain roads, crushed-stone roadbeds in mining areas, and embankment backfill compaction.
The machine features an operating weight of 12 tons, a 2,000 mm wide padfoot drum, a vibration frequency of 30 Hz, and an excitation force of 240 kN. Powered by a 76 kW diesel engine, it offers travel speeds of 0–9.8 km/h and supports switching between static rolling and high-amplitude vibration modes. A small crane can be used to install or remove the padfoot segments, while crushed-stone fill is spread in layers by a wheel loader; for hau…
