PCM (pre-painted metal) and VCM (vinyl-coated metal) sheets are used for appliance exterior panels. The substrates are galvanized steel or aluminum. PCM has a coil-applied paint coating, while VCM has a laminated PVC or PET film. Both finishes provide resistance to corrosion, scratches, and household chemicals, and are available in a range of colors, gloss levels, and textures.
