Working principle and advantages The core working principle of the immersion level gauge is based on pressure measurement. The key component of the level gauge, the level sensor, usually adopts a piezoresistive or capacitive pressure sensor. Taking the piezoresistive type as an example, when the sensor is put into the measured liquid, the liquid exerts pressure on the sensor diaphragm, and the pressure is proportional to the liquid level. Inside the sensor, the change in pressure will change the resistance value of the piezoresistive element, and the change in resistance value is converted into an electrical signal output through a circuit structure such as a Wheatstone bridge. ​   The capacitive sensor uses the change in liquid level to cause the medium between the capacitor plates to change, thereby causing the capacitance value to change, and then outputs an electrical signal related to the liquid level.
