Off-axis ellipsoid mirror

Ellipsoidal mirror is optical aspheric mirror with a reflective surface shaped like a segment of an ellipsoid. It has two focal points, allowing a light source at one focal point to be collected at the other, thus eliminating the need for multiple focusing components within an assembly. Ellipsoidal mirrors can be classified into two types based on how they are cut relative to the ellipsoid's axes: on-axis and off-axis.
