Ketron® PEEKPOLYETHERETHERKETONE 1000 (raw, unfilled PEEK) has similar chemical resistance and hydrolysis resistance to PPS, but can be operated at higher temperatures. The original PEEK material has steam and abrasion resistance, and can be used continuously at 480°F (250°C) and hot water or steam without permanent loss of physical properties. For harsh environments, PEEK is a high-strength alternative to fluoropolymers. PEEK has a UL 94 VO flammability rating and exhibits very low smoke and toxic gas emissions when exposed to flame.
