309/309S Stainless Steel Sheet or Plate

Product Introduction 309/309S Stainless Steel Sheet/Plate is a heat-resisting austenitic alloy engineered for continuous service above 550 °C. Grade 309 (UNS S30900) contains 0.20 % max carbon, while 309S (UNS S30908) is the low-carbon (≤0.08 %) variant that prevents carbide precipitation during welding. Both grades carry 22–24 % Cr and 12–15 % Ni, giving oxidation resistance to 1 038 °C under non-cyclic conditions and 1 010 °C under frequent thermal cycling   . Material is produced to ASTM A240, EN 10088-2, JIS G4304 and available as cold-rolled sheet (0.3–3.9 mm), hot-rolled plate (4–100 mm), width to 3 000 mm and length to 12 000 mm with 2B, BA, No.1, No.4, HL or 8K finishes.   Product Features Excellent oxidation & sulfidation resistance in air and sulfur-bearing flue gas up to 1 000 °C.
